Description:

Our house is located in the historical center of the town Telč and is an integral part of the most picturesque square of our country, the square Zacharias of Hradec. The square itself consists of 71 houses, which were built on Gothic parcels mostly before 1530. Typical character of the square creates a loubout, which was created around the perimeter of the square around the middle of the 16th century. Named Italian artists have helped to transform Gothic dwellings in neat houses with shields and arcades. Baroque finishing of the city took place until the middle of the 18th century. At that time, most of the beautiful baroque facades of houses on the square were created. A beautiful part of the square is also the beautiful Telč Castle. Our pension Telč was named after Martin Ignac Chornitzer and his wife Marie Anne, who got their house on September 27, 1747. Mr. Chornitzer was a noble and pious man, and for many years he was the director of the Telecede estate. He and his descendants lived on the house until 1897, and the greatest measure they deserved to create the present beauty of the house. Adaptation of the house to the apartment house took place in 2009. Sensitively renovated were the extraordinarily spacious apartments with a modern interior that contrasts with the ancient history of the house. The reconstruction of the house was done so that the soul of the house was not disturbed, while the house provided our guests with the necessary comfort, family atmosphere and undisturbed stay.

Location:

Telč is a town in the southern Czech Republic. It’s known for its Italian Renaissance architecture including the chateau, formerly a Gothic castle, with carved wood ceilings. The Highlands Museum includes a model of the city. Colorful houses with arcades and ornamental gables ring Zachariáš of Hradec Square. In the square are the 18th-century Marian Column and St. James Church, the latter with Gothic frescoes.

Board:

Breakfast can be arranged in the partner hotel for 130, - which is about 100m from our house.
